Branding Cows

We had to brand all of our cows a few days ago. It was alot of fun! Casey and Gina came over with their family and Luke and Wyatt came to help out also. The cows had to be branded, docked (casterated), tagged, and vaccinated. It took a little while to get it all done but we all had fun.



The guys were hard at it! They all had a lot of fun, branding always is!


Luke was the designated brander. Chase and Wyatt helped out holding the cows down.


Daniel and Casey were the ropers. They both love getting to do that job. They are pretty good at it!


Luke was on the ground with the boys. Chase and Wyatt had a lot of fun helping out. They would help vaccinate and they both helped cut the bulls. Chase would cut out the "Rocky Mountain Oysters" and stick them over by the branding fire. Boys....


Daniel and Casey would stretch the calf out and Luke would brand.


I put Gentry on Dixie while Daniel had to grab some things. She LOVES the horses and her and Tre both love to ride. She was mad, she didn't want to get off!


Dan would go in first and head the cows and drag them out. Then Casey would come in and heel it.


Tre is pretty sure he has the biggest muscles!!
